History Makers! Quilting Our Personal Histories.

As quilters, we often quilt for our friends and family but forget to quilt for ourselves. In this program, Cheryl Beckage discusses personal story-telling, presents an easy framework for getting started telling your own story, and provides examples of different types of personal story quilts.

A Chat with Kaye!

Kaye England is a world-renowned fabric designer, author, TV personality, educator, a creative quilt maker, pattern designer and entrepreneur. She has traveled the world conducting sell-out lectures and workshops showcasing her fabrics, patterns, design and construction tips and her love of quilting from historic to modern. She has made many contributions to the world of quilting and is demand for her teaching, workshops and retreats. Jinny Beyer describes Kaye as, “Well respected in the quilt industry, who is often called on as an advisor and mentor to corporations, quilt shop owners and other teachers.”

During this event we will visit with Kaye as we chat and get to know her. Bring your questions so we can learn what Kaye is up to these days!

Feedsacks - The Colorful History of a Frugal Fabric

Maureen and Judy will share historical information on printed feed sacks used in rural America in the 1930's through the 1950's. They will also share a wide variety of actual sacks and quilts and household items constructed with feed sack fabrics.
