About the Event
Have you looked at the beautiful Molas from Panama and gone green with envy? Alice did! She loves the look of Traditional Molas, with all the layers of colored fabrics and fancy stitches!
Alice thought that she would make one herself, but then really turned green when she realized how much detail work and teeny tiny stitches were involved! So, she created this class to modify the Traditional Mola by using Felt to make a project that keeps the style and colors of the original, but is so much easier and faster! She hopes you enjoy these Molas as much as she does!
This is a hand work class, but it is easy and relaxing to do. No sewing machine required. The kit includes everything you need except a sharp pair of scissors with a small sharp tip.
Alice will bring a wide variety of her Mock Molas for you to look at. They make a great gift or something for yourself. The class is four hours. Time to give us a good start but, we have the room until 4 PM, so we can keep sewing and visiting with and encouraging each other all afternoon. Lunch? You can bring your own, or make a run to many nearby restaurants.
A kit is required for this class. It will available from the instructor on the class day for $25.
