In this workshop, she will show you various techniques to cut and sew curves with and without templates. We will start with a very gentle curve that you improvisationally cut without a ruler and sew without pins.

Next, we will cut an s-curve – to practice sewing both concave and convex curves. We will also cut curves using the cut edge of one curve as a template for the second cut. She will show you how to cut improv circles using four layers of fabric and arranging them to form a circle.

Using templates to cut circles, I will demonstrate how to sew quarter circle in two sizes.  She will also show how to make your own templates using

freezer paper. Finally, with time permitting, we will cut and sew a large inset circle.
