About the event
Let’s Play Stack n Whack
I’ll step you through the hands-on process of starting a stack n whack project.
You choose a fabric (need help? Email marystrinka@gmail.com or text 317-205-7337).
If you need help determining the pattern repeat, your favorite quilt shop employees should be able to advise you.
Please look through the attached resource list for books with tons of ideas. If you own any of these books (or can obtain them at your local library), bring them to class.
Plan to buy at least 6 pattern repeats. If your fabric has a 24” repeat (common in large scale prints), that’s 4 yards. Do not prewash your fabric.
We’ll work together to study the scale of the fabric printing and decide what size triangles (or squares) will work with your fabric. We’ll step through the process of aligning, pinning, and preparing your fabric for cutting.
Then we’ll cut and start sewing.
