I'd like to do a wider binding on a quilt. I'm using a stripe so will be cutting bias binding. I'd like it to end up about 1/2 to 3/4" finished. Anyone have any tips or suggestions? Single or double fold? How wide do you cut your binding? Thanks!

I want to cut sashing pieces (89.5" x 4.5", 77.5" x 4.5", 69.5" x 1/5") the length of the fabric rather than width and have seams. Anyone have any tips on how to do this easily and accurately?
